Day 1

Arrival

Your journey opens near Kanazawa, where you settle into a refined ryokan and immediately enter the slower rhythm of the Japanese Alps. As evening approaches, your first private open-air bath offers a moment of complete quiet, with steam rising into the cool mountain air and the surroundings settling into stillness. It is a contemplative beginning to a journey focused on the Japan that exists beyond standard routes — a Japan of craftsmanship, preserved traditions, and uncrowded historic landscapes.

Kanazawa City

Takayama Old Town

A sake brewery is visited from the outside, with a tea pairing offered in place of tasting, allowing the experience to remain centred on the craftsmanship and traditions of the place.
