10 Days Through Kerala’s Green Heart

Day 1
Arrival in Fort Kochi
Priority fast-track arrival greeting at Cochin Airport, executive transfer to Fort Kochi’s colonial quarter. The first evening belongs to the waterfront, where the cantilevered Chinese fishing nets swing against the sunset.
Day 2
Heritage Walk & the Road to Thekkady
Walk Fort Kochi’s layered history on foot — Portuguese churches, Dutch palaces, a spice quarter that drew traders for six centuries — before climbing east into the Cardamom Hills. The air cools as you rise into Thekkady, where pepper and cardamom grow to the edge of the road.
Day 3
Periyar Wildlife
Take to Periyar Lake at first light, when wild elephants come down to drink and the mist still sits on the water. The afternoon moves at plantation pace, through cardamom and pepper vines alongside a master naturalist who reveals the secrets of ancient botanicals.
Day 4
Onto the Backwaters
Descend to Alleppey and board a houseboat that is yours alone, drifting through a network of canals, paddy fields and palm-lined villages. A chef cooks aboard as the light goes gold across the water.
Day 5
Kumarakom
Step ashore at Kumarakom, where a heritage villa with a private pool sits on the edge of India’s longest lake. A shikara glides you out at sunset, or the pools claim the afternoon entirely.
Day 6
Kumarakom at Leisure
Begin among the herons and kingfishers of the bird sanctuary at dawn, then take a canoe through the narrow village canals where life runs at the speed of the water. The afternoon brings a cooking demonstration and an Ayurvedic treatment.
Day 7
On to Marari
A short drive brings you to the Arabian Sea and a barefoot beach property built around a working fishing village. Shoes become optional from here.
Day 8
Beach Days
Walk out with a naturalist to find owls and kingfishers in the coconut groves, then cycle through the village where the day’s catch comes in. Pick your own vegetables at the organic farm before turning them into lunch.
Day 9
Leisure
Enjoy a final day at your own pace on the peaceful shores of Marari Beach. Relax by the pool, stroll along the coastline, or simply unwind beneath the coconut palms while taking in the tranquil atmosphere. In the evening, celebrate the journey with a memorable farewell seafood dinner served on the beach overlooking the Arabian Sea.

Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before taking one last walk along the beach or relaxing at the resort. At the appropriate time,your chauffeur provides a seamless executive transfer to Cochin International Airport for your onward journey, bringing your Kerala adventure to a peaceful conclusion.
